Roomie Gifts for Convention 2013
Hi, I just wanted to post the roomie gifts I made for the CTMH convention we had in June. I used the Dream Pop paper pack. I love the bright colours. It was a little magazine holder for cards.
I also made four cards to go with the holder. I wanted to use some of my kraft paper up so I popped the kraft paper with the bright dream pop paper. I love how it turned out.
Thanks for checking out my art work. Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

Cross Canada's February Blog Hop
Welcome to our February Blog Hop featuring a two page layout. This is the first Blog Hop for us where we have featured just scrapbook layouts. We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers....whether it was something that you really liked or some new technique that was used that you would like to learn how to do....by leaving us comments, we get to hear what you like, and what you want to see. Thank you… now on to our hop!
If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, but if you want to follow us across Canada then please start at the beginning and join "Michelle" at "My Creations". If you came from "Arlene" of "Creative Space" then you are in the right place!
Here is my scrapbook layout. I went with a friend to Vermont for a vacation to look at all the fall colours and to go to the Trapp Family Resort. We both love the Sound of Music. It was a wonderful trip.
Here is a larger view:
I love the technique of making paper look like leather and instead of journaling, I just used some words that explained our trip.
To make the leathering technique: Spray cardstock with water. Crumple paper, uncrumple and press flat under heavy surface or with a hot iron. When dry, sand the ridges with the softest side of the sanding block. Sponge tone-on-tone ink on the crumpled paper's ridges.
Thanks for hopping along with us - we hope we were able to inspire you to create your own scrapbook layouts using some of the designs and paper seen along the way. Join us again in March when we will be featuring our new 5x7 Hinged Display Tray.

Here is my contribution:
I had to make 2 sympathy cards. I find it hard to create those kinds of cards but with some new stamp sets I'm happy with the finished cards. I used Avonlea Paper which is back in the upcoming Spring/Summer Idea Book. I like the way the tulip looks like stained glass and I love the flowers stamp on the first card. I used a crimper for the first time - luv it!
